Right, second day just started and I'm going to watch the rest of the England innings :smashin:
I predict it'll last about 3 hours :(
I don't believe this, I'm sat with a thin jumper on about 2ft from a half open window and I'm not cold.
The heating has been off for about 2 hours
Is this global warming that bad?
Sorry, I digress.

Strauss gone.
That was never out by the eye, although in all fairness I heard a nick.
Makes up for McGrath yesterday, I guess.
Totally reckless batting, IMO :thumbsdow

122-6
We're horrendous, batting wise.
Panasar got 5, they haven't even called on Warne yet
God, what are we teaching our players?
The batting is kamakaze at best.
Slog it, seems to be the mantra, I've seen better at school and that was 30 years ago.
As for the speed of the bowlers, I thought they (Lilee and Thompson) were nudging 100mph yonks ago

As for the commentators trying to defend the batsmen, it's just a joke.
We're crap, simple.
And in one way it's funny :(
If I was an aussie, I'd be wetting myself laughing.

So am i,wish i hadn't bothered though.:(

Strauss was never out either.

Hopefully KP will start smashing Warne around now.

Hoggard 1st ball 0-1:smashin:

Hi Badger,

Six posts later and you finally get a response. I thought you were going to post back and forth to yourself all day at that rate :D Only kidding.

Anyway, been keeping up to date with the cricket myself and good to see that England managed to restrict Australia to a low score, although they didn't manage to follow up with the advantage and ended up getting all out themselves for less! :p Australia are now in the driving seat to hopefully post a large total and wrap the series up.

I fell asleep after that post :D
I watched the highlights not long ago :(

We've had it mate.
I now predict a whitewash.
We can't bat to save our lives, IMO.
As bad as it sounds, I wish we had a grinder like Boycott, who could anchor an innings.
Move Monty up to no 8, too.

The annoying part is, after whipping the aussies out pretty quick, I knew what would happen.
The aussies will now rack up a big score and then declare.
And we may get a draw, if we're lucky.
I'm guessing the wicket will die with the heat.

Fletcher will get the bullet, IMO.

Well I actually want Australia to win out the ashes (I'm aussie), but to be honest was hoping for a more exciting and competitive series

@ Paul Gilmour

Yeah, fair go (you didn't know I could speak aussie did ya? :rotfl: )
I guessed you were Australian mate :smashin:

Now tell the truth, you meant you wanted to see a game, right?
Our technique is horrendous.
I don't understand it, on paper we ought to be whupping your old fogeys.
I'm sure it's a mental thing.

I expected it to be close, but it's laughable.
I'll watch again tonight but I'm not expecting much

Good luck mate, although you don't need it, the ashes are in the bag :(

I might post some more moaning on here later, when the game has started and the Stella kicks in.
Feel free to gloat and reply, if I do :smashin:

Yeah, thanks mate. I'm off to bed too and looking forward to the 3rd day of pommy bashing in the field :D Unfortunately I have work tomorrow afternoon so can't get :arty: :zonked:  :arty:  :zonked:

What I would love to see is a sort of charity match of the old folgeys (re-union) from the big stars on the 1980s. Like Allan Border team, Steve Waugh, Merv Hughes, David Boon, Stuart Law... would that be amusing.

3rd night in a row,why?

Well ,started watching the game.....going to see if the tellytubbies are on instead........

That was played at the WACA the day before the Test started as David Lloyd mentioned having played in it. The great Dennis Lillee was still steaming in at 61
