I have a budget of around £1200, maybe a couple of hundred more. I want to get a new amp (hopefully a Denon 3802) and a subwoofer.

I currently have a mission cinema 7 setup.

Which sub should i get?, i have been left very confused by the recent subwoofer thread - i don't have a clue anymore.

Also, where is the best online source for subs?

Maybe i should just buy a new speaker package with integral sub?

Any help would be great, i have money burning a hole in my pocket!

Some of the sub thread was confusing but it mainly related to theory and high end stuff. The outcome seemed to be that it was difficult to make a "proper" sub cheaply or in a tiny box.

Have a look at the Velodyne range in Power Buys forum as if you buy your 3802 you will still have enough cash left to buy a sub that will bring a smile to your face.

Don't change your Cinema7, I think the former advise was a bit ... say, not well thought over.

Given a budget of 500-600 quid there should be lot's of choice in subwoofers ...
