All I seem to do is gravitate between a few websites. BBC, AVF, Guardian, Facebook, blah, blah, blah...

Someone recommend me some interesting sights to re-kindle my love, and keep it clean please!

    Cheers

Chive.com is where I go once the boredom kicks in

Top Gear website can kill some time for me as well or there is always youtube for a totally random evening....After an hour you sit there and think "How the hell did I end up hear?"

What are your hobbies? Look them up and research them on the net.

Could start your own website/blog/reviews for things you find interesting?

Or stick your thread title into Google and see what happens!

    Google+.

I sometimes pop on there to look at pictures from the SETI institute, and other universe related stuff.

I'm not really sure how to properly use the Circles thingy and all that though lol.

I'm the same as the OP. The internet has definitely lost its appeal for me. I use the same 4 or 5 websites. And don't need those half the time because AVF ends up with threads for most stuff anyway. Lol

Wise words but in the same vein I think there are a lot of people who can't be trusted with a Hammer...;)

As a tool, it's indispensable for my job now. In fact it makes things 100 times easier and more efficient than used to be the case. Sites like Stack Overflow I use often, cut and paste code, lovely.
But recreationally.. well I can think of better hobbies than surfing the web.

Both Wikipedia and IMDB are always worth a browse too, and some of the bickering on Amazon can be quite hilarious ("Sir! You are a moron!").

But it's an interesting point: just how important is endless information anyway? Are we being overloaded with entirely useless crap? And is there more to life than sitting indoors, staring at a screen and clicking a mouse?

Mbit/s. That's data. If I had to measure excitement flowing down the wires, which units would I use?

Not necessarily talking about the Internet as a whole but forums on the Internet have become boring.

I don't view many- this one, another one that I am Admin on and another one that I moderate.

I think for me, forum browsing has become a habit rather than getting enjoyment out of them.

Obviously, you do get the odd snippet of enjoyment out of them but it's not like it was years ago when Forums were a new thing.
