    Hi all,

I have spent hrs and hrs reading all the reviews and comments and im getting more and more confused!!!.

So here it is - Im looking for a 40" LCD or 42". I would like it to be 1080p and im thinking of adding a PS3 to it later on - or now if I get the right deal.

I will be running Virgin+ & Wii off it, so any users of any 40" LCDs with this - please advise.

I see that Sony have more models of 40" TVs than Rod Stewart has had leggy blondes!.

So can anyone advise what is the best deal to go for - I see there are PS3 deals on the go around Xmas, is this still the case????

I would like a Sony - so it will match the PS3.

Im not going to have surround sound as we dont have the space for it etc....so good sound is something I need also and I hate SD pics looking awfull. I have a friend who spent over £3k on a LCD last year and his SKY TV looks really bad.

My budget is around £900 for the TV as I see sony and samsung can do 40" 1080ps around that price also. ps, I also need 3 HDMI.

    many thanks

    Ade

thanks mate. also is john lewis's 5 year warranty cover accidental dammage?...just that we have a 7 week old boy! and I dont want to see his toys go crashing into the LCD and not having cover - will a plasma screen protect dammage like this more?.

And are they doing the PS3 deal still ?...im based in the Midlands.
I have emailed John Lewis solihull and they said they have not heard of such deal.
