    Kourosh :hiya:

I haven't seen a thompson set at all. I was interested in seeing one when they were released in the US (infocus thin-TV). I was disappointed to read about the poor viewing angles which are present because of the slim tv design. Also they are asking £6000 over here in the UK for the 61' and only $6000 in the US. £3000 for the 50' is a reasonable price if the set was A1. I have noticed that the poor viewing angles have only been mentioned in the review for the 61', also the set is reported to be quite dull to hide DLP artifacts although they are still present. This is all according to the reviews I have read.

I dare say a few owners will surface soon along with a few problems as we all have. :)

there's loads of new tv's coming out soon.....just look on dealtime page 2

i saw a JVC 70'', NOW THAT'S HUGE! but i'm waiting for the sammy 56

i'm just about to buy but i keep seeing these new tv's

but i think the sammy 56 will be far better than the new tosh 56, so i favour either the sammy 50 or 56 or the tosh 56, it just depends on the price and how i feel at that time....the 50 will look huge because right now i only have a phillips 24'' and the 56 is only 6 inches bigger than the 50'', so it may be a waste of money..i just dont know; right now i'm a bit confused

I dont think the Thompson badge has helped especially with this high price. If it had pioneer or panasonic on the front it might of sold a bit better. £6000 for a thompson tv   :rotfl:

Infocus should of released it themselves and cut out the middleman (thompson) which would of made the set cheaper to buy. :)

you could buy that huge new Sammy 67, that'll be here soon too or the mitsibushi.....to me the new Samsung HLR6768W looks a bit ugly though and it'll be expensive as well.

the sammy 67 will be too big for my room, the max for me is the new 56'' pedestal sammy which has the same technology anyway.
