    Hi all, simple question!

If I have a Pioneer 757ai and the Denon KVC-A1SE both with iLink. Can I interface them together? Is iLink a standard. Will it all work fellas?

I haven't bought the 757ai yet, just wanted to be sure that they will talk via this interface!

    Regards,

    B

The i.LINK digital interface is an official standard. It is a Sony trademark of the IEEE1394 which we find on computers and camcorders. However, Denon unfortunately, has opted for their own proprietary link which is non standard. The Pioneer Amp VSA-AX10i uses the iLink with the 757Ai DVD player. I have this player and a Denon AVR-3801. I was considering (and saving!) to buy the KVC-A1SE but I am now thinking of the VSA-AX10i which is now a leading machine. In future, more and more amplifiers and players will have the iLink. I think Pioneer got it right first!
