for me the 360 + PS3 offer somthen that the wii doesnt have which is pure HD graphics, and the Wii offer a fun new way to play games with there new controle system.

Do you think we might see some kind of USB controle in the future for maybe the PS3 or 360 that works in the same way as the Wii controle ??

All I no is it could be defo made

I think you mean a similar 'motion sensing' controller.......one is already being developed for the 360 and the PS3 pad already has motion sensing inside it's pad which was shoe-horned in after Sony saw what Nintendo were up to.

see thats what most people in the industry said before nintendo finally allowed everyone to play the console,

every expert said it was a gimmick etc, now however theyve all played it they say its revelotionary, and i different system to anything we have seen before or anything that tries to be it.

I have to say, the only reason that I'm not going to buy a Wii, is becasue I can't believe MS will not copy the controller system some how. I think the new style of interaction is fantastic and I can't wait... come on MS!

I would have thought it would be the only course of action Microsoft and Sony could take.
If the Wii is succesful, it would be mostly down to the controller.
It is only a controller after all. Providing they can get past patents and copyrights, it must make sense for them to duplicate the effect.

Im sure i read somewhere that microsoft and logitech were major players in developing the tech in the 1st place.
(could quite possibly be wrong so if so i apologise)

Personally i would love to see the 360 with this sort of controller addon, i admit i cannot see it being used for long periods of time,or replacing the current controller. BUT for a few mates round with some beers or with the kids it would be great fun.

having said that, some may prefer to use it for long periods, each to his or her own eh :)

Yep thats why lightguns were invented :)

Agree with the sentiments here, i think for 'hardcore' gamers whatever they are the novelty will wear off but for the casual gamer and for young kids, or old folks who dont like having to remember which of the 12 buttons does what it'll hold true for a long time yet.

I'm thinking of getting one for my little brother, he's 7, i'm sure he'd find its more fun than i would.

I haven't played on the Wii... but the thought of using the remote sensing controller is cool... definately the way for gaming to evolve.

And whereas in the past we have virtual reality and light guns etc... I always felt the idea's were let down by insufficient technology at the time.

Forgetting the motion sensing controller for a moment, am I correct in think the 360 knock spots off the WII... on that basis it makes alot of sense for MS to release such a controller, though whether game developers will be able to match the quality of the Nintendo games in a short timescale is another thing.

The main reason the Wii has done so well is because of the new way you interact with it. I cant believe MS will not respond to this and bring out a device for the 360. I think many people get caught up in the hype and it would be a great toy over Christmas (groups of people/alcohol). I just wonder if the novelty will wear a little thin and only time will tell. Also, we need to see how the developers get on with the controller. If MS and Sony bring out a similar device, combined with HD visuals I know what I would prefer.

I jsut hope no one sees me palying it.....

A 20yr old swinging and dancing like a nutter all over the living room at all times of the day/night might raise some eyebrows!

Seriosuly though, it is a bit embarrasing!
