Sounds like the 37PX70 is the last great 37" plasma, does that mean i have to buy now??

Will anyone be making a good 37" plasma for later in the year, around september?

I've been thinking the same thing and after looking around on the net, as far as I can tell, there wont be anymore 37" Plasma's - panasonic or any other brand. So I jumped in an got before its too late and if you can you should too.

I have a 2 year old 37" Panasonic (37PV500), and have been looking around lately at what is available. I like the 37" screen size, but as you say, I can see it going the way of the dodo as far a plasma is concerned.

The options for me now are to

    1) stick with my current panel,
    2) Get a 37PX70
    3) Get a 37" LCD (Panasonic do one which is 1080p but the picture is absolutely bloody awful compared to plasma).
    4) Get a 42" Panasonic.

Having looked around I've decided to do nothing at this stage. I'm going to wait and see what happens. Even the 42" 1080p plasma's by Panasonic arn't yet up to the job in my opinion, especially on SD material. Technology and choice should hopefully get better and cheaper over the next 12 months.

My budget and room size are limiting me from going up to 42" which is why im panicking a bit about buying now, as i might be stuck with blurry LCD later if they dont do a plasma small enough

    Hi mate,

not got it yet - it's coming on saturday!:D And I can't wait - I will let you know what i think, i was either getting this or the panny 37" 1080 LCD - but the LCD is actually massive due to the speakers on the side - almost as big as 42"
