if I buy an italian notebook can I switch the keyboard to uk layout

I want to purchase an 14 or 15 inch vivobook (still undecided on size). later models are available in italy and the price is cheaper than the uk. i therefore want to know if i can switch the keyboard layout from the settings?

You would need to physically replace the Italian QZERTY keyboard for a UK QWERTY one.

In 99% of laptops this can be done in 2-3 minutes and usually just involves removing 2-3 screws and a ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the computer.

Try to find out the part number for the UK keyboard, before you make a purchase, so you can make sure that you are able to source one "cheaply" later.

Or you can use an on-screen keyboard for some keys, or use character map, or switch the key layout even though some keys will display wrong characters as a result.
