IDTV premiums getting smaller?

    Noticed DSG selling Philips xxDW6557 models for the same price as xxPW6516. These models are broadly equivalent in terms of features, so effectively the digital tuner is free. In fact the IDTV has a subwoofer thrown in too.

    I realise this is probably a special offer on the IDTVs but there's normally been no more than a £90 premium on the IDTVs.

    (Please no more replies along the lines of it's cheaper to replace an STB than an IDTV)

    Well tahts what the government need!!!!!! I think when you get to 14" sets the difference will be bigger for longer!!!!! acheap !4" is £90 a cheap freeview STB is £80!!! Besides no complains about the analogue tuners in sets being cheaper to replace and its just the same!!! I think the change will come when digital only sets start out on the market!
