Has anyone with a Freeview IDTV noticed any problems with the EPG? I have a Sony KD32DX40 and the EPG is now so slow it's useless. It takes 20-30 seconds to appear onscreen and gather all the data.

I've complained to Sony and BBC and they both say it's the other parties fault.

Sorry if this has been brought up before but I couldn't find anything on the search.

Does your TV do the seven day EPG?

I think my TV is being overloaded with information as when it was released there was no seven day listings.

The TV was fine until about 6 weeks ago, and suddenly the EPG is useless cos it takes so long to appear

Mine is the same (DX40) - EPG used to be great until 6-8 weeks ago when an over the air update screwed it up. As well as the EPG issue, mine now also leaves the channel 'banner' (the yellow bat with the channel number and name) on screen every so often - have to turn it off and then back on to solve.

From Sony, an update for anyone who's interested:

    Sounds quite promising...

I don't think the DX200 has the 7 day guide...which would certainly make it quicker. I don't know how far ahead it goes, as the only way to get there, is to scroll across, which is fine for a few hours ahead but too tedious to bother with for a few days.

Hope they sort the upgrade quickly..

    Cheers
