yer. I was thinking about getting a 24" widescreen tv and then getting a 5.1 dts/dolby av amp and some speakers. but have all the audio sources going to the amp, i.e my xbox and pc. Also getting a good dvd player.

    HOwdy ,

As you ar ealready short on space .. you may want to consider Plasma.... LG have brought a new plasma display which is is pretty good and cheap too .. here in Oz 109cm (42 inch) plasma LG is selling for 4000 ozi dollars ! not bad at all ! good price me thinks.

anyways .. combine it with a 5.1 speaker set up and AV reciever DVD player , VCR , Cable anything you want house it all in agrooving table or custom make your furniture to accomodate your toys and away you go !

depending on you budget and what you prefer .. you can also get flat panel speakers ..i never heard them so i dont know what they are like .. also you can speakers which can be mounted flush in the wall or roof (ceiling) ... good luck..

would be good to know what you end up getting and post some pics of the cool HC room you make of it !

    HAVE NICE DAY :) ...KK

Personally I wouldn't touch flat panel speakers. I have a set in my dining room which are fine for background music but THAT'S IT!!!!!

They would definately give a very bad sound for 5.1.

    Stace :D

Buy a dual-SHARC Tag AV32R, get the Dolby Headphone upgrade, then buy a decent headphone amp and some Sennheiser HD600 'phones and don't bother with speakers at all.

Not with shops offering anything up to 45% discounts on ex-demo Tag McLaren kit at the moment. You can get a passable 2nd hand headphone amp for <£100, and some new HD600s for about £120. (Or 580s for only £80, according to www.priceguideuk.com).
