I've read that sitting on your sofa the bottom of the plasma should be at eye level.......................mines about 1m from floor level.

But people have them very high above fireplaces..................other have them so your eye level is centre of screen.

you can also buy tilting brackets for the plasma.

suppose its down to the individual + missus.

maybe one of the installers on here will help

    cheers, tam

I guess it all comes down to the size and shape of your room.

Mine is about a metre off the floor, very happy with it's positioning.

    Thank you! :)
I think that I will sit approx. 4 meters away from the plasma.

The ideal height is the one that doesn't hurt your neck when you watch it. If you're sitting close to a screen high up on a wall you will probably suffer from neck ache. My retailer says that he had to put his plasma inside his fireplace (unused) as it would be too high above it. A plasma high up on the wall may look very pretty, but the important thing is comfort when you're watching it.

I used a template made fom paper and stuck it to the wall at different heights, we ended going with the middle of the screen at eye level, if your lounge reclines you can go a bit higher.
