Hi Stuart....I found the best price I could on the web for the 42pv500 then went to a Currys store and asked if they would price match it...which they did via their own web site...they then ordered it for me and I had it within a few days...anyway whatever way u choose good luck as they are wonderful TVs

    Stuart,

I have a 42" Panasonic HD plamsa (PV500) in stock with the cabinet. I'm in Basingstoke. It's brand new in the unopened box and was bought from a Panasonic shop in Surrey a week ago. Full receipt and UK warranty.

I'm looking for £2500 (inc. cabinet) and you can collect it so you know it's genuine.

Reply on here if you're interested and I'll PM you my phone number.

    Richard.

Mod Comment - Richard, you are not permitted to advertise anywhere but the classified section, where you must agree to the rules, including not using PM's until a sale is agreed. Can I suggest you open an advert there, and edit your post to direct any interested parties.

Whoops, please accept my apologies. I wasn't so much advertising it as replying to someone who was asking where they could get one from. Coincidentally that happened to be me.

    Lionheart,

I thought the point was he can't find it in stock, not that he can't buy it cheaper. I'm not a dealer but I bought 3 PV500 plasmas (1 x 37" and 2 x 42") and a 32" LCD HD TV from a Panasonic shop a week ago for my office. The one remaining 42" I'm prepared to sell. It's in a box that hasn't even been opened, with a full receipt. I believe they were about £2800 in the shop but I appreciate on the internet you can get them for about £2400-£2500 on average.

    "How much are your widgets?"
    "£10"
"£10?! I can get them from John Smith for £7 down the road"
"Well why don't you buy them from him them?"
"Because he hasn't got any in stock"
"Well ours are £7 when we haven't got stock either"

The internet, as we've all discovered, work along these principles!

    Richard.

There is no harm in you pointing it out except, technically, I would doubt they could be described as "second hand".

The item is brand new in an unopened box with a till receipt from one week ago made out to no-one in particular. They're no more "second-hand" than a shop selling an item they bought from a distributor or the manufacturer.

As to whether it's worth £2.5k well I'm not sure. They cost £2.8k and they're here today if anybody wanted it so I guess it might be supply and demand.

:hiya: 37PV500 on Currys site at ultra low prices:-

    on its own £1,619.61
    pedestal £1,732.67
    pedestal & ES10 £1,795.75
    full stand £1,996.93

My 37PV500, pedestal and ES10 is arriving from JL this Friday and that was £1,979 after a price match - their normal RRP being £2,195 plus £149 (£2,344) for the pedestal - that's a £549 difference in favour of Currys!!

Have Curry's made a boo boo?!
