    Hello,

Ive ordered the new Pioneer AX10 amplifier from Sound and Vision, I have been waiting nearly 4 weeks, Sound and Vision have helped and been in touch and said they have been in contact with Pioneer and it could be another one and half months due to Pioneer creating a backlog.
If you are a AX10 owner, can you tell me if it is worth the wait or was it not quite as good as the reviews you read. I am thinking of changing order to the new Denon A1, or will this be a long wait.

I have ordered the Pioneer 747a DVD as well but I dont want it until amplifier comes, or if it comes.

Hope to hear your views on the amp,
    Cheers:eek:

Can't comment on performance, but isn't there a problem whereby this model "shuts down".
Maybe this is the explanation for the delay.

Gadget, I saw the Pioneer DVD 747a demoed with an Iscan Pro & Panny plasma (both of which I own) the quality was awsome. I also saw the Tosh SD900 and Arcam Dv88 and think that the picture was significantly better with the Pioneer.

I am currently saving for the combo u mention and would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has the amp:)

    Gadjet,
Honestly? The Pioneer is so so with music and good but not awsome with movies. I know its a great box of tricks but the best one box take away on the market today is still made by Denon.
The Pioneer 747 is a pretty good all rounder (I own one) but by no means anywhere near the best in any format. I would suggest that its best asset is its image quality.

I have owned the AX10 now for about 3 months. I can not describe my pleasure with this amp. The decision to go Pioneer instead of Denon A1SE was based on cost; to me the Denon is only better in 'direct' mode with good speakers.
You will not regret your choice to go with the AX10.

Crikey!, i thought i had to wait a while for my Velo HGS-18.
I can understand the frustrations of waiting for a bit of kit you're
    eager to twiddle about with!.....
