I have been doing the rounds to replace my 28" Philips 28PW6322 and have been checking out LCD, rear projection, Plasma, crt and had kind of set myself up to acknowledge that cost per quality the crt still wins.

I decided that the Sony Wega 36FS76U was a good choice but after reading here I am not so sure any more - they sound really unreliable - my philips has been 100% for 7+ years - I want similar reliability.

    Whats to do guys?

Which one - Philips?, Toshiba?, Panasonic?, Sony?

Must be 36"+ and CRT AND reliable ......

I've had my KV36FS76 for over a year with no problems, I thought I had a problem but it turned out to be nothing. When set up well the picture is superb, esp with DVD.
