Mods, please delete my other thread on this.

I couldn't work it out, I couldn't get any picture when I had my DVD player plugged into DVD Componant input. I then turned my xbox on, which was plugged into DTV through componant, and it worked. Amazing.

    I thought, What the ****?

So, I plugged my DVD player into DTV and hey presto, I get a picture.

I plug my Xbox into the DVD input on the amp, NO picture.

Has the DVD input gone tits up?

    Any ideas?

It's still under the years warranty if it is indeed broken.

    Cheers for any help.

I think you can reassign the component inputs to other audio inputs - I've not tried this yet - so I'm not sure if you would then select the component inputs name or the audio inputs name, either way it might be worth flicking through all the inputs while something is outputing on the dvd component input?

Good god son, I think you're on to something.

It seems the DVD componant in, appears when you select V-AUX on the remote.

This is fair enough, but my Co-axial is going into the DVD input, not V-Aux, so how the fadge do I change it from V-AUX to DVD?

    Thanks dude

Bizzarley I have my (brand new) 1400's manual sitting next to me, on page 56 it goes through the procedure, but to paraphrase it:

    go into manual setup
select option 3 - input menu
select option a - IO assignment

you'll need to change the settings for input a on the first page, should have the heading "cmpnt-v input"
