i think that the dvd movies section is perhaps a little narrow

    perhaps it should be a movie forum, as dvd does not cover video or laserdisc (betamax, imax, cinema, 8mm)

    Laserdisc is dead and VHS is not a serious home cinema medium. 8mm is not relevant.
    People can talk about movies here if they want since that's relevant to DVD. This forum is a swearing and advertising free version of uk.media.dvd

    As the owner of several Laserdiscs including the Star Wars trilogy, and classics such as Freaks and Zulu.............I must agree, LD is dead as a dodo (in terms of new releases at any rate), in fact Universal recently announced they would no longer support the format.
