Hello friends and thank you for taking the time to look at my post. I am having trouble connecting a pair of CLASS-D 128 12" SPEAKERS and a Kenwood KA 1030 Stereo Amplifier. After searching the web i think i am correct in saying the speaker connectors are speakon? but the back of the amp has no speakon connections. is it possible to connect them or am i wasting my time. any help would save my hair line as i am ready to tear it out.

    EDIT, EDIT... WAIT....WAIT...

Are your speakers active?? If so, connecting them to amplifier outputs will blow them to bits.

Have you a name and model number for them?

Simply buy a pair of speakon connectors

2 x (TWO) Neutrik Speakon Connector NL2FX. 2 Pole Speaker Cable Plug PRO DJ PAIR | eBay

Connect the speaker cable (inside the unscrewable housing), connect the other end of the speaker cable to the amp end then you’re off.

Remember to connect the plus and negative to the same (corresponding ) terminals from the amp to the speakon plugs

I,assume they are not active as they have the speakon connector, but PA system speakers follow arcane procedures all of their own.

The speakon connectors are either NL2 or NL4. Either will work, as the speakers are passive and don't require an external crossover.

Connect the red terminal on the amp to 1+ and the black terminal to 1-

You can use either connector, as they will be linked together to allow daisy chaining.

The connector will insert and then twist about 1/4 turn to lock.
