After months of reading posts on here I finally took the plunge and bought a 42" viera from JL. I know that its not the best panel around but I actually needed a TV as well as a HC system and it came with a discounted Panasonic e85 so I am happy. I am planning on wall mounting all of this, so I would be grateful if someone could run through the connection choices I have made and tell me if I am going to get the best out of the system. Here is what I own...

    Denon 3805 Amp
    Denon 3910 DVD
    Panasonic 42" Viera
    Panasonic E85 HD Recorder
Sony Freeview Box (I may end up selling this, as the viera has DVB)
    Panasonic VCR
Xbox with hi def kit (Santa to deliver on the 25th)

Now the system is designed to be easy for the wife and kids to watch and record TV without using the amp.

    Connections used are:-

DVD/HD Recorder using a fully wired scart AV1 to Viera AV2 - S video with Qlink
    - this would allow straight forward recording using Qlink and general playback?

DVD/HD Recorder using a Mark Grant Component Lead Denon 3805
DVD/HD Recorder using a TOSLINK Lead Denon 3805
    - this would allow playback via the amp

Denon 3910 using a Mark Grant Component Lead Denon 3805
Denon 3910 using a TOSLINK Lead Denon 3805

Xbox using a Mark Grant Component Lead Denon 3805
Xbox using a TOSLINK Lead Denon 3805

    ***************
or would I be better with a fully wired scart direct to the viera on AV1?

Denon 3805 - using a Mark Grant Component Lead to the viera on AV4

VCR using a fully wired scart AV1 to DVD/HD AV2

Has anyone got any advice or spotted any errors on this? Can I make it better in anyway? Would I be better trying to integrate the Sony Freeview box or just sell it in future?

    Cheers

stick sony box in bedroom (or similar)
other wise looks fine... i would run as suggested wife and kids can use E85 for DVD's and gives a nice flexible 2 peice system.....
