OK this is my problem every thing i read shows up floors.

I want a 37 or a 42 plasma screen which I can drive with my pc at native res of 1024 x 768 or there abouts on a dvi connection.

Most consumer pannels do not seem to let me do this ,

Business pannels do but are expensive I only have 2.2k to spend

the 42pma5200 looks like it can but i dont get the Alis fuji pannel problem.
I have seen the pma500e and that looks ok to me but looks the same spec as the 5200 but is £500 more why ?

the grey scale of only 256 worries me on those pannels

the panasonics have to many numbers and i am lost altogether there pw dw no boards no stand what the fudge are they tring to make it hard or some thing.

    I wish i had 4.5k for a pioneer business screen :)

But i have not so what should my short list be ?

    thanks

    David

You need 2.6k for a panasonic or pioneer business HD screen. There is an LG XGA screen, nasty, and an NEC, the XM2 which might fit your bill at 2350. Other than that, give up.

MAW, would you mind elaborating a bit? Which model are you referring to, the LG 42PY10? Or 42PX12X? Why "nasty", in what respect? Or is it just because of the brand LG?

Isn't the NEC 42XM3 already available in the UK? From what I've seen of previous gen. NEC plasma displays this one should be very interesting to check...

I can't remeber the LG model number, I've seen it run at an LG demo, dismissed it immediately. The NEC is available, that's what I said. The panasonic and Pioneer are still better, but the NEC is a quality product.
