OK, I read all the posts on here before deciding but decided to take the plunge. It has bad points. It is clearly idiosynchratic, doesn't remember where you were if you switch off, sends a lot of scart switching signals and doesn't like to be rushed through DVD menus. However, watching "For your eyes only " R1 last night almost reduced me to tears. The picture was absolutely stunning and the sound awesome. It is a wonderful partner to my Denon 3802 and Kef eggs. CD replay was also superb. Now bear in mind I have no separates and I expected it to be better. I'm terrible for upgrading (as I'm sure most of us AV enthusiasts are) but I do really feel that I've found a DVD player that I can keep and upgrade for years to come.
