i-pod Video problem

So, today as i was going into work i tried to put the i pod to sleep in order to conserve the battery but the bugger wouldnt shut down!

Ive got "sleep" on my menu but its completely unresponsive. I was wondering if anyone knows how i can make it respond again?

Do i need to reboot the i pod? Tell me how people!

its the fifth gen i pod video.

Still, i do love it. I got this one as an update for music, but ended up using it more for video than anything.
Cant wait for the new "real" i pod video due out in april?

sorry ,hate to jump on this thread but can you post a link for the ipod due to be released in April 06, cant find it anywhere
