I am watching I-Player on Panasonic LCD TV using VGA connection from Sony Laptop. I have set the PC to " Do Nothing " when the screen is folded down.
With the PC screen up the picture on the TV is the same, and fills the screen.
However, as soon as I fold down the computer screen the display on the TV changes, and no longer fills the screen, and is distorted with black bands top and bottom.

    Any advice appreciated.

    P.S Am useing Vista

with laptops there's usually an Fn + F key combination to turn the panel lighting off without affecting performance - on my acer the combo is Fn + F6, but your sony may be different.
