Since I have to exchange my broken one for a replacement, I've got these choices to choose from... which one would you recommend?

    Sharp 42" - LC 42XD1E - £880
    Sharp 42" - LC 42SA1E - £1150
    Sharp 46" - LC46XD1E - £1124
    Sharp 46" - LC46XL1E (New Model) - £1464
    LG 42" - 42LY95 - £922
    JVC 40" - LT40DS7BJ - £1064
    JVC 42" - LT42DP8 - £988
    JVC 42" - LT42DV8 (New Model) - £1116
    JVC 46" - LT46DZ7 (5 year guarantee) - £1370
    LG 47" - 47LF66 - £1141
    LG 47" - 47LY95 - £1252
    Samsung 46" - LE46M87BD - £1192
    Samsung 46" - LE46N87BDX - £1370
    Sony 40" - 40X2000 - £1530

I'm guessing that Sony is the best make but does any of the others in this list beat the Sony in any way?

Unfortunately, this place doesn't offer any other makes so I have to choose from the above.

Which would you recommend I buy? I'm looking for the best quality and features.

    Thanks,

    JH

Unfortunately, the store I have to use is charging £1530 for it. I have to get my replacement from them and I'm covered up to £1450. Everything over that is on me.

So how does the Sharp 46" compare to the Sony?

Both excellent. But I think the sharp has an advantage because of the 100Hz and the bigger size.Your only concern is banding

Banding is an isue that has been visible on most sharp lcd's.These are vertical or horizontal lines crossing the screen while viewing

Do you think Banding is a reason for return under warranty?

Can I return it if it happens?
