hi all,
I currently have a sony HT-IS100 system with golf ball speakers. I am pretty happy with it, I am not an audio buff at all and happy with the sound quality, or at least I was.
I have (had...) a house rabbit, who managed to circumvent my defences to got at my speaker cables. As such, the remote no longer works (I assume he has eaten through the cable that goes to the remote sensor?!), and 3 of the other speakers no longer work.
I have tried to buy replacement speakers but it appears to be nigh on impossible to do so without also buying a new main unit.
so, the question... am I able to replace the cables (I see I need a very small alan key to remove the back of the gold ball speakers), but unsure on what cables to buy or if it is possible. Or do I need to buy a new set of speakers? if it is the latter, if anyone can post a link to somewhere that sells them separately that would be great.
thanks in advance, and apologies for the trivial question. the Rabbit no longer lives with me...
Ian
