I have a 'PACIFIC PHC203' Which I bought from ASDA.

I have had a look for the region hack for it and wondered if anyone knows it or where to obtain it??

Have you actually tried to play an out of region disc yet? I only ask, because many of this type of machine (supermarket models) are (unadvertised) region free out of the box.

    Found this:-

    1. press power on your remote to start the player.

    2. press open on your control to open the disc tray.

    3. Press the the volume button to maximum.

    4. whilst it still displays the word maximum press language.

    5. an onscreen display will apear.

    6. press up or down to choose your selected region, and then press enter.

Apparently you have got to be quick pressing the buttons.

Has anyone got the really annoying mains hum? I've tried allsorts to get rid of this (isolating from other sources etc) but it's still there on all playback.

    Mick
