my poor old tosh 210e has almost died and i am not sure what player to choose.
    my short list are,
    1. pioneer 575
    2. toshiba 340
    3. samsung hd 945
    4. denon 1910

i will be connecting any of these to my panasonic pw6 plasma and any suggestions are most welcome.

i have read many threads about problems with the pw6 dvi board so this puts me off this, but with a good quality prog scan player i`m sure i can get a great picture.

    thanx in advance to all.

If you are intending to use component then IMO the best player is the Tosh - and for under £80 you cant really go wrong

I would be interested in this if neuty does not want it... Where was it bought from, and how much warranty is left out of the 2 years?

    Regards

It was bought from a shop on tottenham court road (can't remember off hand but can find out). It has just over a year and warranty (comes with 2 years as standard. Fully Multi-region Pal/ntsc progressive, component output. and as new condition (i can mail you pictures)
    Manuals, remote included.

PM me if you want anymore info

shame you cant use dvi, denon 1910 would be best choice by far, otherwise the tosh would be best choice, cheap as chips

dvdchild thanx for the offer but darrenH can jump in.
nobody mentioned the samsung ,i wonder why?
i have probably decided on the Pioneer or Toshiba.
i`m on my third Tosh and i think it`s time for a change, maybe.
BUT it may be my fourth Tosh yet, still to make up my mind.
Any other suggestions for my PW6 would be most welcome.

    thanx to all.

    Hi

Looking for a new dvd player myself.

Looking at the Denon 1910 esp because its got DVI connection which i believe is better for plasma.

The other option was a pioneer 575 which has good reviews but i would have wasted my money on the expensive plasma if i dont make use of the HDMI.

I got a Pionner Plasma, and would like to here what others have to say about these players

    prax .
As i understand pioneer plasma`s don`t have an issue with 50hz like panasonic do .

as long as you don`t want dvda/sacd it`s a damm good player with dvi.

i don`t think you would be dissapionted with any player around the price of the denon
