If I had not seen so many reviews saying how problematic widescreen 100hzx TV's were especially watching footie I would have bought one by now but held back. I am now nearing the end of my tether so the question is:

"AS I WATCH LOADS OF FOOTIE SHOULD I GET 32" 50HTZ AND HAVE HAPPY VIEWING OR GET THE 100HTZ AND HOPE THE TECHNOLGY CATCHES UP? "

However, I also like watching DVD's and would rather a 36" WIDESCREEN but I have not seen a 36" 50 htz.

    Do I gain watching DVD's on a 36" 100HTZ?

    thanks.

There were and maybe still TV's that are 100hz but can be dropped to 50hz in the menu. If you watch football on Sky (where else) I think their signal has a lot to do with the crappy picture problems.

You cannot beat 100hz for DVD but I understand what you mean about the football.

thanks yugo1, will do a bit of reflection but you have confirmed what I thought. I like Panasonic TV's and I am pretty sure they don't do a switchable one from 100 to 50 but u have given me an idea. I can like at ones that do switch but as yewt I don't know of any!! Do u?

I'm a footie fanatic and the 32fx66 provides a superb picture on both Sky and analogue so if you want 100hz (like i did) have a real good look at the fx66.......Oh yeah and DVDS look blinding on this set:smashin:

I use a Tosh 32ZD26 to watch 'Terry' Henri, and yes he is sometimes a blur, but all the other players are quite clear.

The problem with this is that it's very subjective. Some people (like me) hate the side effects of 100Hz processing, others don't even notice them. The side effects that do show are worse on fast moving pictures, like football, motor racing, etc.

Well All I can say I have a KV32FX66 and find football no problem on it in fact it better than my old 50hz tv and that tv was only 3 years old.

All I can say once you tv is set up correctly you should be fine unless some of us are lucky

I have mention in other threads I am very happy with my KV32FX66 and i watch lots of sports lots of films. Just one thing that need correcting is the white clouds i get on dark background, hopefully it be sorted later on as the engineer coming out later.

    Hi m8,

I have the tosh 32zd26 and it's great. Football is fine on my TV but it can be crap sometimes. It's all to do with the way Sky broadcast. My mate has the fx66 and it's the same. I will say if you are going to buy a DVD player, get a Tosh with Progressive Scan because the 32zd26 supports it and the picture is amazing.

Watch all the Sony Boyz have a go.

    Cheers

    Yugo1

Joking aside both TV's are the dogs.

Football (or any other 'fast moving sport') is fine on my 100Hz TV (Tosh 40wh08b).

I don't know what all the 'negative fuss' is about with these 100Hz TV.

Every home should have one :smashin:
