i-link, DV, firewire, etc

    Hi
    Newbi to the camcorder stuff.
    Is I-link, firewire, IEE...thingy and DV all the same thing?

    My Toshiba DVD recorder has a DV input but the Sony digital 8 camcorder has i-link and they dont want to talk to each other!! :p

    yep they are the same thing, different makers gives them different names just to confuse people.

    Invented by Apple, they call it Firewire in general terminology.

    Call it firewire.
