Is there any preference to quality or are they all a std firewire cable?
Just bought an AX10i and am connecting my DVD 757ai player to it.

Just need assuring that a run of the mill pcworld cable will do the same job as a specialist cable.

On a PC there is no point in spending more money on a so called better quality cable. As long as it works it will do what is needed.
Although I have never used firewire on any AV equipment I have heard others that have said that getting a better cable did improve the sound quality. But I wouldn't say you need to spend a fortune on a cable.

I've bought a Belkin cable, only £20. Hopefully this will suffice! :smashin:

im sure by now there are some good ones out there that are gold plated at the ends and insulated and such. As lond as you dont use a cheapo one it should be ok. You could always do a comparison.
