The old woman I live next door to, asked if I had felt "the earth tremor" the day after I had watched U571:D

She has no idea I am into home cinema and it never occurs to her that the noises are coming from my servo15:blush: Even though it is turned down, the depth charge scenes seemed to shake the entire village:eek:

I have now bought the DTS version of this film to see what that does. Bearing in mind this used to be a mining area, I may end up living underground:)

macmullanbrush please let me know if it's worth getting the dts version as I've been thinking about it. Incidentally my house is built on top of flooded mineshafts, we have a concrete floor but the servo has no trouble shaking it and next doors too- the two pdr10s help as well.:) :D

I was going to wait until I got a replacement projector before I watched it again in full.

I will have a listen to selected bits tonight and let you know;)

I have seen it for just over a tenner from DVDBoxOffice although I got my copy second hand for 8.00.

After a days fun i cant believe this product it truly rocks (pardon the pun) but it dous,
I really dare not go near its limits nor do i want to really i was really feeling the pressure on just over half way on the level dial on the back of the box and about half power on my Denon 3801.
I didn't watch full films as i was too giddy but snips of the obvious ones like u571,Gladiator,seven-both DTS-ES,top gun was cool, Blade ( scene in club bloodbath at beggining etc.
I just cant get enough of it im a grinning boy today,Cheers all,
    John.

I didnt really get chance to do a like for like with the DD soundtrack. I did notice that the groans and creeks of the submarine sounded quite a bit better to me. The bass was fantastic, but so was the DD bass.

I have to admit I find it difficult to compare. I prefer to watch a film and then afterwards I will maybe think, wow the sound was great on that, or that wasnt particularly inspiring.

Oh god, I am waffling on like a senile old codger, please shoot me, or make me a moderator:D

Inspired by chips finding a S15 I rang around a few branches of RS yesterday.
Now after a quick 250 mile drive I now have a S15.I really thought I had lost the chance of owning one of these.I am so looking forward to playing.
It was the same story as Chip someone ordered one, took it home then brought it back because of the size.
A big thanks to Nick who put alot of us on the road to real LFE.
