    Hi all, Been looking on my Sky setting.
    (1) What is Polarisation?
    (2) What is Symbol Rate (Mbaud)?
    (3) What is FEC?

    All answers will be welcome

    1. The signal can be transmitted either horizontally or vertically, just as the terrestrrial signal is. Some channels are H and some are V
    2. This is how much data is transmitted, ie 27.5MSymbols per second. A symbol is 2 bits of information.
    3. Forward Error Correction. The systems ability to deal with a partially corrupted data stream.
