Well i have it at last, downloaded it today from the official website cost $29.99 from here

    http://steampowered.com/

I have to say it's rather good very realistic, the maps are huge and the graphics are sublime. Sadly you only get limited spaces for each type of soldier and only seem to get ONE sniper slot on some of the maps
This obviously means we all won't be having sniper rifles until a mod comes out for that reason(i am in a rifle only COD2 clan) i haven't managed to get the sniper rifle yet as someone always beats me to it on the maps that are available.
You need three men to man a tank properly but you can do it by yourself you just have to keep switching between them, operating the tank is fantastic with everything working as a real one from WWII would.
When driving for example you get a very limited view but you can poke your head out the turret to get a better view.
Some maps are based around the foot soldier while others seem to be more vehicle orientated.
It is a much more intence experience compared to COD2 as the maps are so much bigger and the gameplay isn't as pick up and go compared to COD2.
It won't replace COD2 for my multiplayer clan matches but it's a good alternative, i would say it's a WWII version of BF2 without the Aircraft but far more realistic.

It's fantastic so download it (it took me about 80 minutes)

youre the first person to actually say alot of good things about this game. from what ive read, most people are saying more bad than good about it.
like poor graphics quality and the gameplay is painfully slow.

How anybody can slate the graphics is beyond me the vehicle models are spot on, so are the enviroments the maps are very well done.
One thing that does niggle me is the way the soldiers move, very much like in Day of Defeat Source ie imo not very realistically.
As for the slow gameplay i think this can be put down to the developer trying to get the whole experience to be true to life, the tanks for example handle very much like i would expect a WWII tank to do.

overall a game that you will either love or hate much like DOD Source and a game that will require masses of playtime to get the most from it.

i must admit that the gfx to me looked great. but like i say youre the first to say very little negative about it. im not looking for a slow paced game so ill be giving it a miss and its £25ish right now which is a bit much for a game to take a gamble on (like i did with dod:s, which payed off!)

It's not £25, its $29.99 which should be about £15/£17.

I have to admit it is rather slow but i think thats the whole point of the game, it's alot to take in.
Much more serine in multiplayer in comparison to COD2 (i prefer cod2 i might add)
