Ghost, there's no other explanation. I once had a CD player that would just randomly turn on and play, turned out it was a ghost that was a massive Bryan Adams fan that just couldn't move on, he would haunt the lounge dressed in Double Denim, this all happened in the summer of 99. ( yes, I know ;))
It all finally ended when I left a Genesis album in the player, I think he gave it an Invisible Touch and destroyed the player :(

Don't be silly the clue is in the name of the telly. It's aliens. Invisible ones, who like to watch TV boxsets.

This is weird cos the same thing happened to me about 20 minutes ago. I turned on my tv (Samsung UH8500) and it was on Netflix at the ''Do you want to logout of Netflix'' page!
No joke, it happened to me as well.

In these days of portable device apps that can control av equipment, this kind of thing is very common.
In fact there are any amount of possibilities as to how this could be happening without resorting to the superststitious.

Any neighbour within 300 meters could be using a remote control app that is either the same as yours or using the same " switch on" command.

A device in your chain may have a HDMI CEC issue which is turning on your TV.

An auto update feature on one of your devices may be causing it !

And so on.... to get useful advice, list your gear and what you are using to control it.
For your network devices, what is wired and what is wireless?
For wired devices, is wi fi still enabled?
