Whats this EPG on my Thomson Tv - its on terrestrial?
Okay I have a 46" Thomson 4:3 rptv in my bedroom.

Now on terrestrial channels (not On Dig or Sky) particularly on Channel 5 if I press the button at the top of the Thomson Remote thats between Info and TXT (It looks like its got a little xmas tree on it) a EPG comes up with a memo list etc - there is even a small synopsis of some programmes.

I just tried it and Channel 5 comes up with full listings - channels 1 to 4 say no programme info on this channel - but this changes - sometimes BBC1 works sometimes Channel 4 works etc.................

I must stress I have no Sky or Freeview to this set just a aterrestrial aerial.

The EPG covers the whole screen and is quite comprehensive............

Where is it coming from? Why is it there on some channels sometimes and not others?

Anybody else get this? Its not an idtv or anything...............

    Dave, Oldham UK.

Sounds like NextView, a teletext based EPG that has been widely implemented in the rest of Europe but never really caught on here.... some info
