it's beast isn't it? nice positioning. I've had mine since monday, just been playing around with it to assess its sound. Still not sure, because its upstairs and on a suspended wooden floor, and it sets all sorts of pipes and floorboards rattling so i can;t tell if any bad noises are coming from the sub!

let me know how you find yours, i've not spun any movies yet, although the explosion at the end of the terminator theme on telarc's 'great fantasy adventure album' BOOMS in no uncertain terms!

Looks like you took the photos while pumping out the bass! :D

I've been tempted by that sub myself - I'd love to hear one.

Is it a good idea to place such a large unshielded magnet that close to your tv?

I'm tempted to grab a PB12/2 Ultra but it would have to be with a wood finish.

My last sub, a B&W ASW3000 was in its place before & it was magneticly shielded, I just took it for granted that the Ultra/2 would also be magneticly shielded, there is no problem with the colour bleeding on the tv, so im asuming it is shielded, but i will check with SVS i think , to be sure.
Also, with the drivers being at the bottom & not to near the screen, it may be ok anyway :smashin:

it's a serious poll? Do you mean you would SERIOUSLY consider sticking 'something' in the portholes! Whilst I love subs, my relationship with them has always been strictly plantonic...

My mother-in-law once had something to say about my platonic relationship with her daughter!

Seriously though: A pair of those port plugs are nearly as big as my 16-46! :rotfl:

I have orderd myself a BFD as i think as i have spent this much, i might as well do it properly now, can anyone tell me what sort of adapters i will need to connect the phono ends of my cables to the BFD ? I could wait till it gets here & then look, but if i can get it sooner then all the better.
