I have been upgrading most of my equipment recently and have now decided to sell off my beloved B&W ASW675 for a mightier beast.

My max budget is about 1200. Not interested in SVS as it's downward firing. Subs that come to mind include -

    B&W ASW750 - already demod this one
    M&K V850
    Second hand Servo 15
    Second hand Velo HGS

Any opinions on the above or any other recomendation for me to try ? I know the B&W has received some good reviews and I am sorely tempted as it is a very capable performer but is there anything else for around the same price or less that gives it a good spanking ?

    Thanks

CHT-15 worth a mention? They seem to go for around £500 S/H.

They aren't in the same league as an HGS or Servo 15 or probably the sub that rags is presently using.

A couple of months ago I had a listen to an M&K sub which not only didn't impress me but also didn't impress the shop as they weren't going to bother selling it.

I think it was the 850 but will try and find out for sure.

I could be interested in your ASW675 when you come to sell it.

I just bought a B&W ASW750 today. Once I heard it I had to have it. and I used to have a servo 15. much much more contolled and suited to movies than the 15. Very impressed. Never spent so much on a sub!

Without wishing to patronise, I would suggest that your Servo 15 wasn't setup properly if you didn't think the Servo-15 was well suited to movies.

Or it simply didn't agree with his room, or shock horror the B&W happens to be a better sub. :)

I think I demod the MK V850 sub when I bought my speakers but cant recall it's performance at all. For 1200 notes it's on paper specs dont look too promising.

I'm tending towards the BW 750 sub as I very much liked the 675.

Blakeyboy - I will put it up in the classifieds section if I put it up for sale.

Smurfin - I'm confused with your speaker situation given whats been going on in the classifieds - are you selling one of your servo 15's ?

    As of tonight I'll have 3 Servo's:D

In all liklihood I'll have 2 by next week again:)

Jeff, you have a point re: the room, it may just simply not have liked it, though in all honesty I doubt it's better;)

Perhaps it's equally as good, but for different reasons as the Servo is so good.

Of course Matt, what we're saying here is only speculation, so lets not jump to conclusions :D ;).

It's a very good sub but i dont really have a reference point. On paper 1000 watts and 12 inch driver sounds like a good combination.
