I Don't Understand John Lewis Price Match!

Hi there folks

Just wondering, this John Lewis price match thing - if you've seen an item they're selling for cheaper, why not just buy it from the cheaper source? Saves the hassle of getting them to price match the item (email/phone calls/a trip to john lewis).

5 year warranty.

I can't see them continuing the 5 year warranty for much longer due to screens getting cheaper, cutting corners and becoming more unreliable. It'll come to a point where they'll just have to stop offering it, or stop price matching.

They don't make any money out of it as it is, it's purely a customer draw, and this forum fuels it!

JL give you a 5 year guarantee. That has to be worth a couple of hundred quid.

Just got a 37 LCD TV from J Lewis 150.00 less than their shop price as I saw it being sold elsewhere and they matched the price AND gave me a 5 Year Warrenty. Really good deal
