I have posted many times on here asking for advice, and although many people view my post no one replies.

So the only thing i think you can do is right a list of things you want from the set, and things you dont want.

Look around , get a short list and go with your gut instinct.
Unfortunatly there are good and bad in everything. Some people will rave about one item others will slate it, the ones who slate it get a duff one and therefore choose another brand.

sorry i'm not giving you an answer, but if someone told you to buy a certain item and you did, and it was a duff one, you would not be to happy with there recommendation.

to make this short, the sony 29ls30/35 are not a good series, the designer model is a method sony use to attract consumers, my cousin bought one the same model you require and it had the scrolling bar problem( sony will be sony) the panasonic on the other hand is more durable cheap and worth all your money.
even though i have a diffrent model sony i also have a panasonic in my dvd movie room, show how much the panny is better than the sony, but dont get me wrong sony is a good company which makes serious tvs, but my advise is panasonic

    Sony KV28LS35 vs Panasonic TX28PL1........it's a draw.
You can almost buy them on which appearance you prefer.
I wouldn't let anyone put you off either of them.
Have a look at the JVC AV28R25 too.

No don't. The RGB is hopeless on this model.

I'd go with the Sony (I have an LS60 - definitely worth considering if you can afford the extra £££).

I don't recall the PL1 getting very good reviews and Panasonics can be problematic with NTSC (moire patterning).

    1. If you can afford the LS60 it's much better, beyond doubt.
    2. Panasonic moire patterning is a truth, but reviews are mostly meaningless.
    3. Sorry, I've forgotten what no.3 is.

Ok, they all are good, the dark RGB on the JVC may be a small penalty for the bass from it's subwoofer. You may never notice the moire with NTSC on the Panasonic, and the Sony is also good.
Go to the pub for a pint, write the models on three beermats, ask the barmaid to pick a beermat, buy that television, enjoy what you watch and forget all about it.
Any of them should keep you happy.
