I don't get it..

    You know i don't get this...when i used to play online games on my pc before xbox live my games always used to lag for example like Counter-Strike but now when i play xbox live for Halo 2 or NFSU 2 its like smooth and clean info comin through the modem. Please explain to me why that happened. Thank you

    I take it you used to use Broadband for your pc gameing as well not 56k modem?
    I find you have to search a bit for CS and DOD servers with a low ping but once you get a few in your favourites folder lag free gaming no problem.
    X-box live i find more often than not kicks me during games play with broken connections.

    I think mainly its because microsoft have dedicated Xbox servers and they only allow people with broadband conections.

    With PC,s its a different story. Every PC has different specs where as every Xbox is the same.

    Also every server is different with good and bad servers. So it hit and miss there really.

    Finially some PC users use BB and others are still using dial up.

    It would help to have a standard system like the xbox.
