    Hi all,

I had nout to do this afternoon so I thought I would treat myself and sit and watch a DVD (a rare treat for an afternoon).

At 3pm I went and started looking through my collection - at 3:20 I still couldn't decide what to watch! I have so many great movies that I just couldn't decide! Normally I just watch whatever anyone else in the house wants to watch (I love most movies), but now I was on my own and just couldn't decide!!

In the end I gave up and got my PS2 out instead!

Anyone else experience this problem? Is there a cure? What do I do next time?

Lex, I have over 200 DVD's, 70 LD, 230 VHS, 95 VCD's, and the total sky digital package, yet I still have this problem.

I usually go out to the nearest High Street and buy something new!!!!!!!!

    Lex.

I have 150 dvds and 600 vhs films. I have the same problem. Even if I do manage to decide what to watch, I get bored after about 15 mins and try to find somthing else to watch. Its just a viscous circle with no cure. What we need is another hobbie

I'm the same, but if i'm really stuck I usually watch a DVD with the commentary on.

Too true! I think DVD collecting is more like an addiction - I just can't help myself, especially when shopping over the internet is so easy - and its not as if it's real money we're spending online, its just plastic!!

As for watching a film with the commentary on - I can still not decide which film, and then some films even have multiple commentaries!

And shaunthedude, 600 vhs films is way too many - where the hell do you keep em all! :D

I have the same problem, I think it would be much easier too choose if I did not have to spend 20 mins thinking about a film.

A mate of mine has about 20 titles and is always watching them over and over again, but having twenty times that amount there are very few I have seen more than once and rarely can I decide on what film to put on.

Also do the buying a new film thing far too often, its about 6 a week at the moment :(

Small world, have the same problem wth the addition that out of about 60 DVds there are 26 that I haven't watched yet! These are titles that I just had to have and will eventually watch (honest guv).
So with over 60 tities and 26 not yet watched, why do end up renting at lease one title a week?

When are the modeartors going to provide on-line counselling!!

Oooh Lucy, you naughty little minx.

Anyway, back on topic, I have over 300 titles and have the same problem. It was easy when I only had half a dozen or so, usually I make the Mrs choose. If I am on my own, the Matrix or Starship Troopers will most likely end up in the player.

What you trying to say, that those of us with loads of titles have a library full of ****? When you've had a player for over 3 years, the library expands somewhat, if I only had 20 titles that would have meant I had brought 1 film every 2 months, which would hardly have made it worthwhile having a player.

When I first got into DVD I thought I would only buy films I really loved, but once I started collecting them I just couldn't stop! Now I'll buy any old crap - Most DVDs are usually worth owning - even if the film isn't that great there might be a good soundtrack or commentary or other extra feature.
