A while ago I was complaining about the quality of my Tannoy Mx series speakers on my Denon AVC-A1D amp. They appeared to have no top end and had too much bass. For financial reasons I have put up with this for years.
Last week I was messing with my Universal Remote Control, and by accident got a menu up on my amp that I've never seen before.
Then I saw the line "Cinema EQ = ON". Nooooooooooooooo.
I turned it off and things are 100x better! I know what Cinema EQ is but I never knew I had a menu to turn it off and on. I had assumed it would only kick in with THX enabled.
Bear in mind I've had this like this for about 3 years.
What a f00l
