I've been holding back to see what sort of reports there are on the new 3.06GHz Pentium IV processors/ dual DDR.

I'd love to think that I could 'dedicate' a HCPC but the reality is probably that I mess about so much it would end up another desktop doing more than one thing at a time, the concept of hyperthreading looks to address this.
Initial reports on Tom's Hardware, etc do seem to indicate that creating two logical processors using hyperthreading would work well for HCPC type apps to avoid 'busy thread distortion'

    Anyone tried this yet?

    Cheers,

    Chris

At the price of new release Intel chips, not a chance here :)

I'd like to see how these things cope with HDTV level MPEG, as my 2.26 P4 still drops a few frames :(
