I'm currently designing a hushbox for my Sony VPL-VW12HT (although it's quiet on cinema black mode, it is mounted directly above the sofa).

Just wanted some advice on fan positioning ...

I plan to get some SilenX PC case fans and run them from an old 'quiet' PC PSU which will be positioned at the back of the hushbox.

How many fans should I use and where should I put them? I was thinking of copying my PC case configuration - two fans blowing in on the sides and one fan on the back blowing out. Would it be best to have one on the front, blowing into the air intake (I presume it's an intake!) to the side of the lens? Would two fans blowing out be good on the back?

Just really looking for pointers from anyone who's done this kind of thing, thanks ... last thing I want to do is fry my projector!

Mods - any chance you can move this to the DIY section?
