    Heres my current setup

The spinning hard drive from the sky box is causing vibrations and out putting a humming noise, bit like a fridge motor.

Apart from getting rid, moving it else where, is there away to reduce the vibration/ humming noise, as it's rather annoying

I had a crappy freeview pvr that hummed so much that it could be heard in most rooms in the house. It was sat on a wooden chest of draws in the bedroom which acted as a sound box. I bought some felt pads for putting under furniture legs and sat the pvr on that. Made a considerable difference.

A really effective cheap fix is to cut a couple of squash ball in half and put one half under each corner of your box.
I was told this years ago. It works better than pads.

Sounds like hard drive. Got a new box about a year ago and within 6 months I'd had 2 replacement boxes due to very noisy hard drives. Never had a problem up until then and since. Now it's mounted on halved squash balls with extra air circulation all around to keep things a tad cooler.

Try turning off the instant rewind feature if enabled. Always turn mine off as the noise does my head in.
