Hi,
I recently replaced my Audiolab 8200MB monos with a Bryston 4B3, very pleased with sound etc but a couple of things are happening that I didn't have with the Audiolabs that I'm hoping to get some advice on:
1) Amplifier hum - when playing music I have a very low level hum from the amp, which I had with the Audiolabs and doesn't affect the music playback at all. However when using the surround sound for films/Playstation the hum with the Bryston becomes much more audible, which didn't happen with the Audiolabs. The Arcam surround processer also develops a slight hum, which didn't happen with the Audiolabs so I guess the 2 are related.
2) When turning off the Bryston I get an audible popping noise from the tweeters on the Quad speakers. Again, don't recall having this with the Audiolabs and doesn't seem to matter in what order I turn off the amp/pre-amp.
Any ideas what the issues maybe and how to resolve?
Thanks
Ian
