    Hi guys
Bought one of these devices in Dixons yesterday to replace an ageing freeview box and the addition of a HD sounded very useful.
Got it home and half the channels would not tune in , which worked fine on the old Pace box. Tried manually doing things to the UHF channels but no joy.
Phoned the helpdesk and was told right away a faulty tuner take it back and get replacement which i'm going to do on Monday.

Anyone any good or bad experience with this model? I know i should have asked first but it was a bit of an impulse buy and Dixons do have another brand of PVR which is £40 more ( iforget the name) and i might be better of upgradeing the model altogether.

    TIA for any advice.

That would be a good idea would it not?
    Thanks for that.

None of these devices has a problem free record, as you will see if you search the forums, but the PVR8000T has few and the majority of buyers seem to love it. I would not be without mine (unless it was replaced by a PVR9200T).

I'm hopeing i just got a slightly wonky tuner in my box. I found it a bit odd that most channels worked fine but the likes of C5 and abc no picture and intermitent sound beeps and squeals.
I would have thought if it was a bad tuner as Humax said none of them would work but hey i'm no engineer. :)
I'll give another unit a go on Monday and fingers crossed.

    Thanks.
