I have a Humax PVR-8000T which I have upgraded the hard drive to 120GB
which now gives me 60 hours of recording time. I have tried transfering the
hard drive to my PC (windows Xp) so that I can edit the recordings, but the
PC reports unknown partition. Does anybody have any suggestions. I read somewhere that the TIVO group are researching this. Amazon list a book called TIVO hacks, I wonder if this gives any clues.

Not possible at the moment. There is a Yahoo group called TwinRIP where there are Humax users attemtpting to the same. TwinRIP was developed for the Pace Twin, but I think Humax support may be added / being added... Could always buy a DVR!
