humax hard drive hd compatibility

    :confused:hello out there to you all ......please can some one help !.....i want to get a new hd telly ,& like to know if my 3year old humax hard drive recorder will receive & record hd

    I'm afraid that is not possible. To record High Definition you currently need to have a hard drive recorder specifically designed to do it. At the moment the main ones are the V+ box for cable customers and the Sky+ box with HD. More recently introduced are the boxes for the Freesat services and these will include ones with recorders on board. Humax is producing one of these. Of course you can continue to use your existing box to record and play SD as normal.
